Preview: Erni Vales “An Unusual Journey” at the Chelsea Market TONIGHT

Veteran train writer and graffiti 3-D innovator, Erni Vales officially returns home today with an opening to his show at the Chelsea Market. Erni’s hand is apparent throughout the Chelsea Market which showcases some of the artist’s airbrushed murals. The show will exhibit selections from his “An Unusual Journey” series which he debuted in Miami this past December in a show by the same name.

The cartoon style of his current studio work is a big departure from the the 3-dimensional graffiti he was known for. The current iteration will feature Erni’s favorite pieces from 169 paintings he made over the past year. “An Unusual Journey” will be up until June 15th. We posted a couple shots of the work as it was displayed in his EVL World Studio in Miami. Also check out the invitation below for the details for tonight’s opening.
