Evan Roth, one of the founders of the Graffiti Research Lab, has recently won the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award. Mr. Roth has worked on some pretty amazing projects, and has “blurred the distinctions between technology, design and art.”(John C Jay,  the jury chairman for the awards). Not too long ago, Mr. Roth worked on a project called Propulsion Paintings, where he developed a new use for the common spray can. Congratulations are certainly in order for this world renowned artist who refuses to let societal constraints hold him back. The New York Times did an awesome interview with him, where he talked about his work with Jay-Z, his work on the web, and his future in the world of design.
