Event: Tony Bones Opening Thurs April 18, Brooklyn

Tony Bone’s exhibition, Dispatches From The Crud-Cake, opens Thursday, April 18 at Tender Trap in Brooklyn. Bones is well known for his cute’n’grimy cartoon characters inhabiting NYC streets for the past ten years. Tony grew up in Texas, where he got his start painting graffiti but soon moved on to paint the rest of the world and mix styles from various other backgrounds as well: freight graff, mystical numerology, psychodelic noodlings, saturday morning cartoons, punk. He had made his home in Brooklyn for several years but now lives in a cupcake by the Mississippi River in New Orleans. He has a hedgehog and a pickup truck. Ray Mock of Carnage Zine will also be setting up a table to sell his high quality zines, which in the past has included Grilled, Kuma and others. There will also be dropping the new zine by Droid 907 called S.O.S. (Sex Or Suicide) which can also be purchased at Article Method. Music by DJ Boo Raps of Rap Gang.
