Event: Jersey Fresh Jam 2013 – Trenton's Premier Urban Arts Festival
New Jersey’s premiere hip hop festival, the Jersey Fresh Jam will take place today and tomorrow at the TerraCycle Complex in Trenton. Featured will be live painting by the fifty street and graffiti artists in attendance as well as sets by some awesome deejays and emcees from all over the country. The Fresh Jam started in 2005 as a small event and has since grown into one of the east coast’s most respected celebrations of the hip hop culture. The Jam is free and open to the public and there will be a food drive for Mercer Street Friends Foodbank, so spend the money you would have otherwise spent on a cover charge and get a grip of non-perishable foods to help families in need!
As of now, the invitation only spots to paint are filled, but you can still come out and enjoy the fun and maybe try to get yourself a spot for next year’s Jam. On the flip side, there may still be some sponsor/vendor spots available. Current sponsors include TerraCycle, Molotow, The Infamous Magazine, Sage Coalition, and Unisphere Clothing, to name a handful. More information can be found on the Jersey Fresh Jam website.
There will be an official pre-party which will be held this evening, Friday, August 9th, from 6PM-10PM at Gallery 219, where there will be a Vicious Styles Crew Art Show. Gallery 219 is at 219 E. Hanover St. Trenton, NJ 08608.
The main event starts at 12PM on Saturday, August 10th and ends at approximately 6PM.
