Four Unrelated Deaths This Saturday on NYC Subways Cause Mass Delays
Four men, this past Saturday, died in less than 24 hours in all unrelated incidents, police say. The first victim was found unconscious at about 2 a.m. in Queens’ Elmhurst Avenue Station on the R line. The man, in his 60s, reportedly fell down the stairs into the train station. At about 8 a.m. Saturday, a man in his 20s was hit by a passing L train at West 14th Street and Third Avenue. Another man was also hit by an L train on the same line on Saturday night. Talk about taking an L, huh?! Bad joke… The fourth fatality was reported in Brooklyn, when a man’s body was removed from the tunnel near the Nostrand station on Saturday afternoon. It looks like taking the train’s are no longer safe on Saturdays.
