Four Unrelated Deaths This Saturday on NYC Subways Cause Mass Delays

By - Monday, January 23rd, 2012

{image-1} Four men, this past Saturday, died in less than 24 hours in all unrelated incidents, police say. The first victim was found unconscious at about 2 a.m. in Queens’ Elmhurst Avenue Station on the R line. The man, in his 60s, reportedly fell down the stairs into the train station. At about 8 a.m. Saturday, a man in his 20s was hit by a passing L train at West 14th Street and Third Avenue. Another man was also hit by an L train on the same line on Saturday night. Talk about taking an L, huh?! Bad joke… The fourth fatality was reported in Brooklyn, when a man’s body was removed from the tunnel near the Nostrand station on Saturday afternoon. It looks like taking the train’s are no longer safe on Saturdays. Source: Wall Street Journal
