Freight Friday: KEECH

By - Friday, June 12th, 2015

On a recent trip to a lineup near Grays Ferry in Philadelphia, I was lucky enough to stumble across this KEECH roller. I’d heard that KEECH painted an entire car with rollers a few nights before. To my surprise, the car rolled right through, and it obviously wasn’t hard to miss.

As many know, KEECH is recognized for his often big and brightly colored lettering. Just like this train, most of his work is impossible to miss. He does tags, throw-ups, stickers and rollers. He started writing as a child in South Philly and was inspired by writers like TONE, HASE, OZO, KLARK, OZ and CESE.

Similarly to many of these writers, KEECH is a member of IYA (In Your Area). He enjoys seeing different styles, and unique spots such as roofs or highway spots. KEECH continues to stand out with his impressive rollers, and different fonts. He has a specific style that many have grown to respect in Philadelphia, and its surrounding areas.
