Freight Friday: Mber – Love Child

By - Friday, September 27th, 2013

Another vintage classic from freight legend Mber HM/Network. The fill color is unique and the mustardy yellow hue almost perfectly matches the Southern Railway instructions. Below is an excerpt from The Infamous Magazine’s interview with Mber, conducted in 2010: Did you always write MBER? Also, what crews are you associated with? MBER: In the past it was Fate, Role, Dume and some other aliases. Crews are Heavy Metal, Network, SCA, ATD, BOM, NSF, FS and PPP. Where did you start writing and what was the scene like? MBER: I started writing in Milwaukee in 1990(?), just tagging with markers and occasionally with paint. I wrote with my friends Ed and George. I really started painting and doing freights in Minneapolis in 1992. There was a great little scene in Minneapolis. AKB was the wall crew to look up to and MAS were the hardcore bombers. Describe your prime years. MBER: From 2000 to 2002, I stayed really up. A lot of late nights and a lot of stress. Describe a story from that time. MBER: One of the best nights I had was painting all night in Philadelphia with Necs, Nise and Dasar. When we were done, we drove to Atlantic City and swam in the ocean as the sun came up… no homo.
