Friday Five: Chicago’s 606 Trail

By - Friday, June 12th, 2015

Chicago’s Bloomingdale trail was recently converted from old train line into trail and park path. The Bloomingdale Trail, also known at the 606 Trail, stretches along Bloomingdale Avenue from Walsh Park on Ashland to Ridgeway. The trail passes through Humboldt Park, Bucktown and Wicker Park. Before the trail was rebuilt, there was a graffiti wall within it, painted and repainted regularly. With the rebuilding of the trail, some thought that this might become another great wall, lost to Chicago’s various construction projects. Fortunately, the wall is back! Last week, there were barbecues, music, live painting and many people were able to observe the work of the newest artist addition to the wall. This Friday Five brings you five action shots from this wall.

Expect more photos as the progression of the wall continues in the coming weeks.
