FURIOUS – Stop Motion

By - Monday, August 15th, 2016

Graffiti videos can be endlessly boring, lacking the most important aspect of graffiti: the atmosphere of the environment and feeling of actually painting. Because of this I’m an absolute sucker for anything remotely different, either in format or delivery, therefore the following video from FURIOUS thoroughly brought a smile to my face.

A simple static shot faces a train whereupon a piece by Furious is painted but clever editing creates the illusion of a stop motion piece as if appearing by itself. Couple with this some throughly funky music and you’ve got yourself a nice, short video that manages to deliver the same content we’re used to seeing but in a style i’ve certainly never seen before!

From what I can gather, Furious is a European writer (possibly from Milan?) and rocks a simple, legible style in continually funky colours and creative contexts, one of those who seems more bothered about painting itself than being the dopest letter technicians. Refreshing.
