Futura Discusses Sneakers, Collaborations and Kidult

In this Street-Rules video, New York-based graffiti artist Futura talks about his past sneaker fanaticism, his collaboration with Hennessy, graffiti’s role in the gallery world, and his views on Parisian vandal Kidult.
Futura delves deep into the territorial and political implications of Kidult’s actions, arguing that “there has to be this devil character…if there’s some bad guy, it makes the balance…because it’s not all good. It’s a more real point of view, and that’s what I guess I respect. He [Kidult] doesn’t care if he offends people.”
But would it offend Futura if his own work were defaced? Listen to what the artist has to say about that in the above video.
