French graffiti writer FUZI will be making his first-ever trip to the United States to put on a free tattoo event at the Hole Shop in New York City. On September 1st, a few lucky recipients will get inked up free of charge from the famous Parisian artist courtesy of Citizens of Humanity as part of their ongoing attempt to support art from around the world.
FUZI is a self taught tattoo artist who draws from his extensive experience as a graffiti writer to create is “ignorant style” tattoos that combine simplistic design with intriguing art and themes. FUZI is known for taking his craft outside of the tattoo studio, instead choosing to work on the street, art galleries and subway stations in an attempt to add another level of meaning to his tattoos, “Each of my tattoos is unique, never duplicated, and I execute them in unusual places, because it leaves a mark on the memory, not just on the skin.”
For this event, recipients will be able to choose from 50 designs inspired by New York City itself. in addition, a limited amount of “Ignorant People” T-shirts will be for sale as well as copies of FUZI’s books Ma Ligne and Flash Tattoo Collection N°1, that can be signed by FUZI.
