Graffiti History: Deal NSA - Non Stop Action

This article was posted by Senior Editor 1 year, 1 month, 1 week, 18 hours, 52 minutes ago.

Over the weekend we posted a photo of an old school handball court painted by Deal and Smiz and mistakenly credited the work to Deal CIA. We received messages from Terror161 and Chino BYI, two encyclopedias of graffiti (and 12ozProphet bloggers), dropping knowledge about the lesser known and underrated writer.

We found this sketch from Joust’s blackbook posted on the Subway Outlaws website along with the following statment, “DEAL NSA would have to be a very over looked writer who went on to hit so many lines in the early 1980’s. The original DEAL who was also known as MR.DEAL , MIKE 707 or EARL 389 would start the famous BMT group NSA - ( NON STOP ACTION ) which would have many BMT killers of the day ... BUSTER , WREK , FASE , NEAL , SAM , JOUST along with BUFISM would keep the group above ground long after DEAL retirement from writing.” In an interview with Rebel NSA he added “Deal NSA has to be the most over looked writer in the history of Brooklyn Graffiti.”
