By - Monday, July 1st, 2013

Shiro-one is a graffiti artist from Japan whose work is international. She has also called New York City her home, and has painted in many places around the city, including 5 Pointz. Shiro refers to her curvy, voluptuous characters as “Mimi” characters. They are the expression of womanhood and femininity as strength and power. Shiro is not only an internationally known graffiti artist, but also a fashion designer and a nurse. Having seen the world through many lenses—from the medical field to the street, from Japan to NYC—Shiro wants to capture the world around her within her art and express how precious and fleeting this life truly is: “Love life and live it to the max! We exist RIGHT NOW, RIGHT HERE!” Shiro represents TDS (The Death Squad), Zulu Nation Japan, GCS (Graff Can Sorcery), and SUG (Stick Up Girlz). fashion designs by Shiro. 2 12oz-Grrlz_Gettin_Ova-bj46-shiro-4.jpg” border=”0″ style=”max-width:400px;” class=”gc-images” />
