Toofly is a graffiti writer and visual artist from New York City, as well as the co-founder and organizer of Younity Arts. Toofly became an active member of the New York graffiti scene in the nineties, where she worked to develop her own unique handstyles, as well as her signature Toofly characters.
In 2007, Toofly founded the Younity Female Urban Arts Collective with fellow artist Alice Mizrachi. The two found that the art world did not support women in ways that would allow them to showcase their work to the public as easily as men. Younity was established as a way to build a community of women artists to facilitate communication and cooperation, helping future generations of female artists to realize their full potential.
Toofly’s fashion and accessories collection, TOOFLY NYC, is based on her own life and on her graffiti art and experiences in New York City. It launched in 2007 online, and has since expanded to boutiques and specialty shops around the globe. Toofly’s work has been included in Graffiti Women, Burning New York, and Juxtapoz.
