Grub Street Food Festival TODAY at the Hester Street Fair 10am-6pm

By - Sunday, October 23rd, 2011

{image-1} Today 12oz readers in New York should head over to the Lower East Side’s Hester Street Fair where once again popular food blog Grub Street has turned it into the Grub Street Food Festival, with over 75 food trucks, restaurants, and shop. Just like last year, thery’re hosting a street vendor get-together at the corner of Essex and Hester. Unlike last year, they’ve expanded the space greatly to accommodate the turnout, which means room for more people — and room for more food. Among the glorious eating options you can expect: a host of roll options from Luke’s Lobster; barbecue from Brooklyn’s Char No. 4, Daisy Duke’s, and Georgia’s Eastside BBQ; Mexican from places like Fonda, Mexicue, Dos Toros, and Cascabel; haute dogs from Bark; and plenty of sweets from the Kelvin Natural Slush Co., the Big Gay Ice Cream Team, Macaron Parlour, and more. The Grub Street Food Festival is TODAY Sunday, October 23 at the Hester Street Fair at Hester St and Essex St in the Lower East Side from 10am to 6pm. Photo: Pete Jelliffe
