Natalia Fabia made her curatorial debut at this 22 artist show and welcomed some of the finest artists working in the contemporary art scene. Including John Paul Altamira, Frank Carter, Sean Cheetham, Natalia Fabia, Albert Fabia, Korin Faught, Phil Hale, F. Scott Hess, Michael Hussar, Benjamin Bryce Kelley, Maria Kreyn, Jeremy Lipking, Ann Marshall, Jeff McMillan, Tara McPherson, Jeff Nentrup, Chris Pugliese, Revok, Erik Mark Sandberg, Alex Schafer, Frank Stockton, Marc Trujillo, Kent Williams and Stephen Wright. The artists exhibited their best examples of figurative work wrapped around the theme for the weekend, hookers. Like the term she embraces, the work from the show is straightforward but surprising. For a show titled Hooker you wouldn’t expect to find sensual and intimate portraits, but that is exactly what the artists deliver. The show was held earlier this month at the Corey Helford Gallery.
Be sure to check out 12ozProphet’s coverage of the Miss Hooker Pageant that took place in anticipation of the show at the Dragonfly in Hollywood.
