HOT TEA in Chicago

By - Friday, August 28th, 2015

Visiting from Minneapolis for a short weekend, Artist HOT TEA has came to Chicago to visit friends and share some art. Reconnecting to his first passion of painting and continuing to work with yarn in three dimentional lettering, he has found spots around the city to share and create.

Large installations are the direction that artist HOT TEA has found his niche, and that’s his future. Not to say that he won’t continue to write in his blockbuster or MC Escher letter styling, which has become his notable and most recognizable medium.  Architectural structures that people can interact and connect to through his colorful color palate are his way of integrating himself into an international audience and captivating everyone into his vision.

Here I am sharing a small collection of images of his visit.  On an interesting note, in one of the photos toward the end, he actually is cutting down the reminisce of bits of yarn from his visit two years ago.

Stay tuned for more from HOT TEA coming soon to 12ozProphet.
