Hotel Park Avenue Detroit: Painted Landmark

This article was posted by LundgrenPhotography 4 months, 2 weeks, 4 days, 5 hours, 49 minutes ago.

We recently published a story on The Hotel Eddystone, the Hotel Park Avenue sits adjacent to it and is equally covered in graffiti and street art. As mentioned in the the last story, this hotel faces either demolishment or complete renovation when the new hockey arena is built in Detroit. It was built by Louis Kamper in 1924 and the building is 14 stories. Once accessible the site is now nearly impossible to enter unless you are Spiderman. The building was abandoned in the 1970's in what was to be Detroit's hotel district when the city was booming in the 20's.

No pic of the ZOMBIELAND roller on the side that faces the freeway? That’s my favorite piece on the building, seeing how it’s smack dab in Cass Corridor junkie/crackhead zombieland.
