Huge Mural Signals the Opening of The Dark Knight Rises

The long awaited third installment of the Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy, The Dark Night Rises, opened last night at midnight. From the looks of the previews the movie will live up to the success of the first two films, and we here at 12oz are stoked to see it. To signal the film’s arrival a 150-foot mural was commissioned at 315 Park Avenue that those of you who live in New York may have seen. The size of this mural is enough is to make it impressive, but the fact that it was hand painted in only 5 days makes it just plain awesome.

Check out Irene Gallo’s ferature on TOR where she explains the whole process of the creation of this massive hand-painted billboard.
