Introducing the official Daze Blog
Chris “Daze” Ellis is joining us and putting his voice behind the hard-to-find street-to-studio success story. The Brooklyn-born, Bronx-raised writer started doing damage on the Broadway #1 local train and the 2 and 5 IRTs in the late 70s with the CYA crew before switching it up and painting with other writers such as CRASH, DEZ, DONDI and CAZ 2. His lifelike animations accompany intricately detailed lettering to form a style that has become his signature. In the 80s, Daze branched out from subways to canvases and graphics, which can be found in museums all over the world.
