Iranian Street Artists Seek Acceptance in NYC

By - Thursday, August 30th, 2012

New York City is commonly known as not only the birthplace, but also the mecca for modern day graffiti. This is why two Iranian street artists (ICY and SOT) recently left Iran in search of a city that would embrace their artwork in a more positive way. Their recent show titled “Made In Iran” ran for three days at the Open House Gallery on the Bowery. The show also featured the Yellow Dogs, a punk rock band with a skate background also from Iran. Check out the rest of the story here.
