Jake Merten Paints Anime-Inspired Wall at Soho House Chicago

By - Thursday, June 4th, 2015

For May’s installment at the Soho House Chicago, illustrator, painter and muralist Jake Merten has been asked to produce a piece for this corner wall. He has the anime game down pat. Painting from both Dragonball Z and Attack of Titan, he produces familiar characters that resonate with passing viewers. On the street outside of Soho House, pedestrians exclaim “Trunks!” and Jake nods his head in tacit agreement. Jake is the first person to paint Anime at Soho House, and everyone seems to enjoy the artwork. Jake is quite familiar with these characters, as he is a fan of these shows. Check out the photos above.
