Recently New York-native, Jayson Musson has been hard at work preparing for his first solo show titled Halcyon Days which is set for an opening tonight at the Salon 94’s Bowery gallery. For this exhibition, Musson chose to use Coogi sweaters as part of his medium and stitched them together and stretched them over wooden frames like canvases creating a beautiful palette of colors and patterns with a result of 9 works. This show is a huge departure from his well played popular comedic, art critic alter ego self, Hennessy Youngman however maintains a similar sense of humor with reference to hip hop culture. If you’re in the area tonight, be sure to check out this solo show as Jayson Musson gains recognition in the art world.
