Preview: Joe Russo & Gallery 69 "Art from the Underground" Crash, Daze, Blade, Quik, Cope2 & Mare

Joe Russo & Gallery 69 present From the Subways to the Galleries: Art from the Underground featuring works by some of the biggest names from the history of graffiti including Crash, Daze, Blade, Quik, Cope2 & Carlos Mare. These artist’s all first made a name for themselves painting New York City’s steel giants, immortalized in the book Subway Art and the film Style Wars. A reunion of sorts, this exhibition brings together artists who largely influenced the culture. The Tribeca Gallery will open it’s doors tonight with a private invite-only reception.
