JR and The Bowery Wall

By - Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

{image-1} Even on this rainy day in NYC, the Inside Out Project: “Lakota, Dakota Nation,” is changing it up at the Houston/ Bowery Wall, this being the sixth project since the Kenny Scharf mural. It will be used to bring attention to the Standing Rock and Pineridge Native American Reservations. “The Inside Out Project “Lakota, Dakota Nation” is intended to shine a light on this rich culture, for which they are fighting daily.” The creation of artist, JR, the idea is to tell stories about people, using the black and white image which helps to visually stimulate the message. This particular image is of DJ Two Bears. Look out for more of these images around the City. {image-2}
