JR: Staying Busy in NY

By - Monday, June 27th, 2011

Last week, JR put up a huge mural at the Houston/ Bowery Wall for the Native American Standing Rock Nation project. Martha Cooper was there for a few other installations and got these photos with the guys while they were at work. Check out the rest of the photos on her blog. He has also teamed up with the Bronx’s Hunts Point Alliance for Children. This community project called “Through A Mother’s Eyes” which is a collection of portraits of Hunts Point residence, realized as gigantic images plastered on walls around the community. JR and his team have an amazing work ethic and are getting things done this summer. Thanks to the Gothamist for the JR/ Hunts Point Story.
