Kick Start This: Station16 – A Global Street Art Story
Station16, a Street Art gallery and silkscreen print shop located in the heart of Montreal, launched a Kickstarter campaign a few weeks ago. The promotion ends on Friday, December 27th and they have less than $3,000 left to raise. Once all of the funding is in place they are looking to launch 16 different silkscreen prints from a series of international Street Artists. Just as with every other Kickstarter, there are various levels of rewards that can be claimed depending on how much you pledge. Below is an excerpt from their website with a little more information about the project:
Station 16 wants to create 16 silkscreen prints, with 16 artists from around the world, in 16 months.
Station 16 is a Montreal-based print shop that started supporting street artists in North America by creating limited edition silkscreen prints for them. We take care of all the production, promotion and distribution in house. After two years of successful business transactions between our artists and street art and street art fans worldwide, we decided to open the Station 16 gallery, as a way to have a physical space where we could promote our prints and generate more opportunities for artists.
Now we want to go worldwide! Boom.

The gallery is also worth checking out. Last month they held a “NYC meets MTL” show which included work from New York artists Cost, ENX, and Dain to name a few. Stikki Peaches also just released a new Star Wars themed 5 color hand-pulled silkscreen.
