Saturday, 20 year old Ronald Weekley Jr. was stopped for skateboarding on the wrong side of the street infront of his house. He was then pinned down by four officers, hand cuffed, and beaten, left with a broken nose, a broken cheekbone and a concussion. Weekley was avoiding gangsters across the street while skateboarding when asked to stop by the cops. The LAPD is defending the arrest by stating that Weekley had three outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrants for being out past curfew, a charge given to anyone 17 years old or younger unaccompanied outside after 10 pm. “I didn’t do anything. All I did was get on my skateboard,” Weekley said. Dozens of protesters gathered in Venice last night to show their support for Weekly and rally against police brutality. Internal LAPD investigations are pending.
