{image-1} Have you been looking for your chance to break into the New York art world? The Gershwin Hotel is looking for talented artists for it’s Artist-in-Residence program. Selected artists will be given a room, a shared studio space, and an opportunity to exhibit your work in the hotel. They hotel will also help push your show with the help of their public relations team. Not only that, the package comes complete with a daily continental breakfast AND an “occasional bottle of wine”! You should definitely take advantage of this opportunity to get in on some of New York’s limelight. The Gershwin Hotel is dedicated to supporting and nurturing the arts. With multiple art openings in the lobby of the hotel every month, performing arts and theatre performances, and each floor of the hotel designed by a different artist, the building is more like a 13 floor gallery than a hotel. And yes, your street art is welcome, they have a very progressive idea of what art they want featured in the hotel. The next deadline is OCT 1st. Check out the Gershwin Hotel website of more information about their Artist-in-Residence program and to download an application.
