Recap: Lush "You Become What You Hate…" in London

By - Friday, July 6th, 2012

Lush’s new show has yet again succeeded at pushing the barriers of humorous and crude imagery while ruffling the feathers of street artists and graffiti writers alike. He has accomplished this by incorporating a dead horse into the pop-up show, which closed yesterday after it’s three day run. Aside from nearly bringing his unicorn motif to life, expect to see women, cops, and graffiti commentary represented only as Lush can. This work includes a uniquely British twist as he takes jabs at some of the UK’s biggest names in street art like Banksy, Ben Eine, and Nick Walker. As his work matures so has its presentation. Several pieces jump on and off the wall, leaving all nervously awaiting what he may do if no longer bound to 2-D work. Sources: HurtYouBad and ArrestedMotion
