Martha Cooper Hits The Streets of Southwest Baltimore With Gaia

Since 2006, 12oz blogger Martha Cooper, has been documenting the streets of a Southwest Baltimore neighborhood called SoWeBo. The area is better known for it’s portrayal in the television show ‘The Wire’ than for any of its art. Cooper recently teamed up with street artist Gaia to document him making his way into the SoWeBo area and leaving his mark.

Gaia's piece was drawn from Martha Cooper's 1978 photo of HE3 with pigeons on a Lower Eastside rooftop.
