MCA Memorial Billboard by Kaves in Los Angeles

Kaves has continued to memorialize the late Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch of The Beastie Boys. First it was in a graffiti piece he painted, this time he has gone larger and grander by creating a massive memorial billboard in Los Angeles. The billboard quotes a famous MCA lyric about respecting women and portrays the Beastie Boys around a classic 1980’s style boombox.

In previous posts on Kaves’ blog on 12ozProphet he reflected on when MCA hired him to do the cover artwork for their dvd release for their single Intergalactic. Kaves has said about MCA that “He was a stand up human being and will always be Brooklyn Royalty.”
