Midweek Music Break: Sporting Life “Badd”

By - Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015

For this Midweek Music Break we would like to share a track from one of the best rap producers in the game. Last Wednesday, Sporting Life dropped the video for his track “Badd” and it features the DJ destroying his friends at basketball at a park in West Harlem. “Badd” was released in August of this year and is part of Sporting Life’s upcoming album 55’5s which comes out on Sept. 18th.

Sporting Life has made a huge name for himself these past couple years. He is part of the New York City rap group “Ratking” which features himself, Wiki, and Hak. The group has released three projects, Wiki 93, So It Goesand 700 FillSporting Life’s instrumentals have distinguished the group from many others in Hip-Hop. Instead of reaching for a classic East Coast Boom-Bap or Southern Trap sound, Sporting Life has created a unique sound of his own.

12oz would like to give a big salute to Sporting Life and hope he continues to morph our conceptions of rap music. You can pre order 55’5s by clicking here. Also check out Ratking’s tour dates here
