Mixtape Mondays: Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire – Kismet

By - Monday, June 17th, 2013

In this case you are perfectly safe judging a book by its cover. The album art for Kismet, the newest release from Brooklyn MC Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire, is just a preview of the provocative content packed within the 16-track tape. Through the grit and grime, with the aid of some epic production, the tape explores desires of both a sexual and sensual nature. Sure there’s plenty of talk about raunchy studio sex (see …eXxx studio ft. Cokey Briccz and Goldie Glo), sweat soaked silk sheets (Tomorrow’s Gone ft. Danny Brown, Nacho Picasso and Flatbush Zombies) and other aspects of your typical rapper’s life style, but Mr. Muthfuckin’ eXquire also delivers on genuine, of not sometimes abstract, notions of love (peep Cherry Raindrops). Don’t get me wrong though, this shit really goes. That’s what was so surprising when listening to Kismet, while Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire treads some new ground, he doesn’t stray to far from that trill shit he knows how to rock.
