MoCA Behind The Scenes: Os Gemeos

By - Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

12ozProphet was on location in downtown Los Angeles the day before the MoCA’s “Art in the Streets” event to meet up with long time friends and fam Os Gemeos and some other long time friends that we’re part of the show. With only hours before dawn of opening day, Os Gemeos was able to finish a little bonus project that they had been working on in the back corner of the museum’s workshop. Making use of the local Home Depot and picking through the dumpster and workshop materials around them, they were able to construct a scaled down replica of a vintage New York City subway car. The car is an amazing reproduction right down to the rust and filth blanketing them. With the help of graffiti legends Lee, Blade and Reas, the car now had a little extra detail to make it look official. Check out the photos below from the (long) night before the opening and keep checking back for more updates form the MoCA event.
