Moneyless and Mark Lyken Collaborations in Glasgow, Scotland

Recoat Gallery presents Forms & Spaces, a collaborative project, executed in a landscape of crumbling, abandoned buildings in Glasgow, UK, by Moneyless and Mark Lyken.
These two artists have very different aesthetics: Moneyless is precise and geometric, while Lyken is spacey and atmospheric. But through their strategic teamwork, their styles truly complement each other and culminate in paintings of beauty and refinement that mesh with the environments that inspire them.
This is the first half a project that will be executed in two countries. Glasgow is Lyken’s hometown, where Recoat Gallery is located. Then, this October, the duo will spend a week in Moneyless’s hometown in Italy to work on another series of outdoor collaborative paintings.
Moneyless has just returned from a mural project in Poland and later this year will be in Los Angeles creating a solo show for the Soze Gallery. Lyken has just begun three month Artist Residency in the Highlands, a partnership project between IOTA and Aberdeen University, working with the Marine Biology Team at the lighthouse Field Station, Cromarty. He also has completed two Solo Shows this year in Glasgow and Bristol, and has new work in the upcoming Break State and Futurism 2.0 exhibitions later in the year.
