{image-1} Louie “KR.ONE” Gasparro’s new book Don 1, The King From Queens: The Life And Photos Of A NYC Transit Graffiti Master has been released on The legendary Don 1 Mafia was highly influential on Gasparro’s graffiti career from his beginnings. Like Don 1 Mafia, Gasparro is from an Italian-American family and is a true rock and roller. To pay tribute to a man who greatly affected his artistic career, Gasparro has published this work in order to release Don 1’s name from relative obscurity within graffiti culture. This book recounts the life and photographs of the NYC subway era graffiti artist from Queens. It includes almost 200 never before seen graffiti photographs of some of NYC’s most undocumented train lines, taken by Don 1 himself during his time at the prestigious school of Art and Design in NYC. The book also includes an incredibly rare peek into work from Don 1’s black book. Check it out on Amazon here, and for more on Gasparro’s work visit his website.
