News: MURAL Festival in Montreal

By - Wednesday, June 26th, 2013

Huffpost Arts and Culture recently featured Montreal’s first ever street art consortium, the MURAL Festival. The festival ran from Thursday June 13th to Sunday June 16th. At least 25 street artists from around the globe attended the festival to work on individual pieces or group murals. Despite local buzz about a graffiti problem in Montreal, MURAL attracted many people to the city’s first, and probably not last, festival dedicated to street art. The Huffington Post featured photographs by street art photographer Daniel Estaban Rojas. Rojas and Huffpost Arts and Culture captured many of the breathtaking murals from Montreal so that those who could not experience the festival in person could still enjoy the visuals. 12oz Prophet would like to pass a few of these images on to its readers. For more information or photographs from the festival, check out Huffpost Arts and Culture’s awesome article on the festival, or visit the Mural Festival’s website here.
