Recently Alan Ket shared the Walls of Freedom story on his blog asking for your help to fund the book Walls of Freedom: Street Art of the Egyptian Revolution. We now have an update on some of the new perks available to those who donate to the campaign.
Don Karl aka STONE is a cultural activist, graffiti artist, author and name behind From Here to Fame publishing. Having curated numerous international projects and a body of work including the book Arabic Graffiti, partners with Basma Hamdy an Egyptian designer and researcher focused on cultural preservation to capture the revolution through street art. There is no other book like it on the subject, as a result this project is shaping up as the definitive source on the artwork birthed through the Egyptian revolution, but it needs your help. Check below the break for some of the perks donating to the fundraising campaign will get you.
To help cover the post-production costs with this unique look into a historic movement through street art, Walls of Freedom wants to give you some great things for your donation. $40 gets you a hardcover copy of the book signed by the authors and you can add Arabic Graffiti to that for an even $100. Pick up a original piece of artwork and Book for $200 or a custom portrait in Ammar Abo Bakr’s signature style for $350. With plenty of perks blow $20, help bring this book to market with a small contribution.
