By - Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

This Just In! The Earl of Scotland is trying to get permission from local authorities so the Os Gemeos mural can stay in place at Kelburn Castle, in Largs, Ayrshire. Historic Scotland will only allow historic properties to be painted in “historically correct colors in a manner which is appropriate to the building”. The piece done by 12oz family members Os Gemeos was completed roughly threes years ago, and since then The Earl says ‘ The mural has attracted enormous interest from around the world and it is loved by everyone who sees it . It has become a landmark and a talking point and it has given the castle and the estate a whole new character.’ Its now in the hands of Historic Scotland, hopefully they allow the masterpiece to stay.
