POIS of Chicago-based graffiti crew MUL (Made You Look), was apprehend over the weekend by Massachusetts State police after being spotted photographing his work on a wooden fence at a rest area.
“When arrested, he had a backpack full of spray paint cans and nozzles, and the paint on the wall was still fresh.”
The trooper phoned transit police Lt. Detective Nancy O’Loughlin and Boston police Det. William Kelley, members of Boston’s joint graffiti taskforce who linked him to a May 6th, 2009 incident where ‘POIS” had been painted over five Orange Line subway cars.
“It was pretty extensive. From one end of a train to another, top to bottom,” she said of the subway graffiti.
“O’Loughlin said that POIS fessed up to the crime and wants to move on with his life.” POIS is facing three years in jail and a $45,000 fine if convicted of felony vandalism.
