Notorious BIG Autopsy Report Finally Released on TMZ 15 Years Later

By - Sunday, December 9th, 2012

According to the newly released autopsy report, Christopher Wallace suffered from gunshot wounds to his chest, shoulder, leg, forearm and scrotum when he was murdered in 1997. TMZ was the first to obtain the autopsy report, 15 years after the rapper was shot in L.A. The report confirms details of what was already pretty much known. He is listed as 6’1”, 395 lbs and was struck by 4 bullets in a drive-by shooting on Wilshire Blvd. According to the report, 3 of the 4 shots were not fatal, however. Shot #1 struck Wallace in his left forearm, and traveled down to his wrist. The second shot struck him in the back, but missed all of his vital organs before exiting the body through his left shoulder. The third shot to strike Wallace, was in his outer left thigh, exiting through the inner thigh. Shot # 3 then “strikes the left side of the scrotum, causing a very shallow, 3/8 inch linear laceration.” The fatal bullet however, was the 4th, which entered the body through his right hip, ripped its way through several of Wallace’s vital organs, before coming to rest in the left shoulder. The autopsy report indicates that the bullet perforated Wallaces colon, liver, heart and the upper lobe of his left lung, causing his death. Wallace was rushed to the hospital immediately after the shooting, for an emergency thoracotomy, but it was too late. At 1:15 AM he was pronounced dead. The report also notes that all 4 shots traveled through the door of the vehicle before entering his body. Two of the four bullets were found on the gurney during transport, while a 3rd was recovered when the body was flipped over after pronouncing the rapper as dead. The report lists Wallace as morbidly obese, but shows no sign of drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of death. A small notation on the corner of the report reads “Decedent may be rap singer.”
