Kickstart: “Obey The Giant” Shepard Fairey Bio Pic by RISD Students

This article was posted by RaymondBrown 1 year, 4 weeks, 1 day, 9 hours, 22 minutes ago.

Over the past decade Shepard Fairey has gone from an anonymous icon to a household name. Recently, some seniors at the Rhode Island School of Design finished shooting a film based on the story of the now world-famous street artist, and one-time fellow RISD student.

The film looks at Shepard Fairy in the way the Social Network was about Facebook. Watching the trailer, whether you’re a fan or not, it’s an incredibly impressive job by the 21-year old director who conceived of the project. There is currently an effort to raise funds to take this project to the next level. To make a donation, or to find out more about the project specifics, visit their Kickstarter page.
