Oh How We Miss The Old New York

By - Thursday, September 15th, 2011

It seems like more and more lately, vintage NYC photos are popping up all over the web. Well over here at 12oz we cant get enough of it. These newest shots are from the talented Charles Cushman. We were able to dig up a little in on Cushman and his life’s work so take a min from the daily blog lurk and read a little. Charles Weever Cushman, an amateur photographer and an Indiana University alumnus, shot off around 14,500 Kodachrome color slides in his thirty two year career. The photographs in this post let us take a look back at New York City during World War II showing off a few years during some rough times in our countries history. Check out more of Cushman’s photographs here.
