Openings: The Hole Presents Katsu Drone Paintings at Silicon Valley Contemporary

By - Tuesday, April 8th, 2014

Opening in San Jose later this week is the first Silicon Valley Contemporary Art Fair. The Hole gallery will be presenting new works by renowned graffiti artist, KATSU. The paintings were created via drone experimentation, utilizing spray and remote control to create abstract works. The artist had spent several months exploring the concept and various weights of paint, activation and execution via the technology as part of his process. His initial concept was programmed drones to write graffiti but the imperfections inspired a new direction. The fair runs from April 10th – 13th and houses contemporary works in the realms of video, multimedia and digital. More information here.
