Photo: History of Graffiti – Wicked Gary's Collection of Tags

By - Tuesday, February 28th, 2012

{image-1} Legenday old school graffiti writer Wicked Gary of the Ex Vandals crew posted a flick of his amazing collection of early graffiti tags. It features some of the greats like Phase 2, Lee 163rd, Dead Leg 167, Flint, Super Strut, Clyde, Ace 137, Flint 707, Pistol, Snake I, Coco 144, Mico, and more. That piece is a history lesson, a venerable who’s who of the first generation of graffiti. He also posted a message trying to get in contact with an old school graffiti writer, Slim 1. Here’s what he said: “Family! Maybe you can help me find an old friend. Trying to find my Asian brother Tom Chin – used to write “Slim 1″ back in the early 70′s with Kool Kito, & Jake from Brooklyn. Anybody that can help with this ask him to contact me on Facebook. Want to talk to him about some Graf history. Thanks!” -WG – Wicked Gary – Ex Vandals Source: What You Write
