In Pictures: Abandoned Nazi Compound – Santa Monica

Deep in the hills of Santa Monica lies a small collection of run down buildings which are now referred to as Murphy’s Ranch. The story goes that back in the early 1900’s a wealthy group of Nazi sympathizers built a series of bunkers, water towers, machine sheds and other structures spread out of 50 acres. To access the buildings you need to hike a short distance and then head down over 500 stairs. Once at the bottom you walk along a crumbling road to view the concrete and metal shells.
