Pit Stop with Tubs in Chicago

By - Wednesday, January 6th, 2016

Before the wintertime really started rolling in, Tubs was able to get a nice production in on a wall by Galerie F in the Logan Square neighborhood. It was a pretty busy day, so a lot of people were able to pass by and get a look at Tubs’ work in progress. Using a mix of paintbrushes and spray paint, Tubs painted this calligraphic piece that reads “Descriptions of the Wind”. I briefly talked to Tubs about this piece, and he told me that “the wall is a description of how the windy city has inspired me through it’s various cultured neighborhoods and art scenes. I was born in the city of the wind. My culture blows across borders through violent wind. But forever loyal to the city of the Chi where now I can enjoy it’s zephyr.”

Definitely check TUBS out on instagram @ Tubsz_illa for more calligraphic work.
