PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Enters Open Beta This Week

By - Monday, October 15th, 2012

Call it a Smash Bros. clone, or whatever you like, this game is decent. From what I played at a demo unit at Wal-Mart, I’ll wait until the game hits the bargain bin. You can check out the beta for Sony fighting game PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale starting tomorrow, assuming you are A) a PlayStation Plus user or B) a Vita owner. If you want to play on PS3, and you don’t have PlayStation Plus, you’ll have to wait until October 23 for access to the beta, which ends October 30. Either way, PS3 and Vita users can play against one another using Sony’s crazy Cross-Play functionality. So here’s what you get to play, via the PlayStation Blog: -Playable Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, Parappa, and Fat Princess. -You’ll be able to play in both the Metropolis and Hades stages. -You’ll be able to try out four-player online tournaments and 2 v 2 online tournaments.
