Tonight in Times Square will be the culmination to the Art Takes Times Square Contest that was hosted by Artists Wanted. After millions of people from all over the globe casted their votes for the tens of thousands of people that entered, the winner of the contest, Vicki DaSilva, is a substitute teacher from Allentown, Pa. She is receiving a $10,000 grant and a spot 23 stories high above the streets on a yellow Sprint ad to showcase her work. Artists Wanted and Chashama will be on site presenting the works on mobile screens of the other artists that participated along with a celebration featuring dancers, performers, and brass bands all hosted by the one and only ?uestlove of The Roots. The magic all goes down tonight at 7pm as the sun sets over Times Square. {image-1}
